It’s time for another trip into the Weird Work Files!

As I have mentioned many times, I work at a bank. One of my duties is to sort the incoming mail and distribute it. For the past few months I have noticed a steady rise in one particular kind of mail.

Credit card offers.

Addressed to a bank.

With the bank’s name, which is very clearly that of a financial institution, clearly printed above the address. Often it is Mr. and Mrs. [ghostbank] or some variation of that.

You would think at some point, somewhere, there would be a data processor who would notice that they are sending credit card offers to a frickin’ bank. We get dozens of the things every week.
