This is the Fallen Caryatid, a sculpture by Auguste Rodin. The Master sculpted it as a more realistic interpretation of the slim young nymphs (caryatids) who were so often used as architectural supports.

The sculpture is mentioned in Robert Heinlein’s Stranger in a Strange Land and is even featured on the cover of some editions.
