I was relaxing over the long Easter weekend, roasting a few Peeps and watching a few Netflix offerings including a movie I have never heard of called Burke & Hare.

If you've never tried them, you should. They are crunchy deliciousness.

The movie was surprisingly good, loosely based on the real-life exploits of a couple of “resurrectionists” (AKA body-snatchers) from the eighteen hundreds, William Burke and William Hare. It’s a comedy, though, so quite a few liberties have been taken with the original events. It does state in the opening that this movies is based on real events “except the parts that aren’t.” The basic story is the same, instead of going through the trouble of digging up dead bodies to sell to medical schools, the men decide to make living people dead and then sell their bodies (and make a mess of it to begin with.)It also stars Simon Pegg and Andy Serkis and the title characters, so there’s that.

These guys.
